Olde Towne Spring Crawl
April 12, 2008
THANK YOU to the 8 bars and restaurants, 35 volunteers, and most importantly the 350 participants that made our very first springtime pub crawl through the streets of historic Olde Towne Portsmouth a resounding success on Saturday, April 12th. With all of your help, we were able to donate all of the $5,875 in proceeds from this event directly to the Virginia Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. All photos we have received from the event have been posted in our online photo gallery at GhentBarTour.com. We hope each and every one of you had as much fun participating in the event as we had putting it together. And we'll look forward to seeing you all in Olde Towne Portsmouth again next time!
THANK YOU again to the EIGHT bars and restaurants that agreed to be a part of this charity pub crawl event. We hope you enjoyed the fun and festivities - we couldn't do it without you!

For those a bit less familiar with the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, Olde Towne is a historic downtown neighborhood located in Portsmouth just across the Elizabeth River from downtown Norfolk. It has kept up its 18th and 19th-century history and charm now for more than 250 years. Trinity Episcopal Church, founded in 1762, still rings its bells just across High St from the 1846 Courthouse that now serves as a museum. More on the history of Olde Towne, as well as a downtown map and other useful information, is available on the Olde Towne Business Association website.
